public transport

the trip back from Siphandon was actually not bad. I ran into these two really cool belgian girls and we traversed the public bus system together - according to an Irish quoting the Lonely planet, you're not a man if you haven't stood the public system. it seems to mean, in short, getting up at 6, being at the bus station at 9 and hanging around till 10.30 till the bus is deemed sufficiently full to finallz take off; then stopping frequently to cram in more and more people including their ferry, so we started off with fish and some chicken, the latter were rudely displaced by an elderly woman in search for her three bags of live frogs, then snakes and some other containers the content of which we didn't check.. it was a whole zoo.. but the ladies not only shopping within the bus but also shared their goodies with us.
